Abstract(in English) | We proposed a small self-holding 2×2 optical switch using Si wire waveguide and phase change material (PCM). This switch consumes power only when the switch state changes because it uses the refractive index change induced by the phase change of PCM. Therefore, the power consumption of this switch can be very low. The size of the switch is as small as several tens of μm. In this report, We simulated switch performances on several parameters. |
