Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Optical remote antenna system can be constructed using an optical modulator of Mach-Zehnder type, in which the intensity of the light signal to be transmitted from the receiving to transmitting point facilities varies in response to weak RF signals. This system has features that no electrical power supply is needed at the receiving point and less damage can be caused in this system by lighting surge because the detecting terminal is isolated electrically from the receiving point. This system can be used to not only the lighting protection but also prevention of the coupling interference in the SFN digital TV network. This paper describes the composition of this system, and effectiveness for digital TV network. |
