Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The communication service considering the olderly people is needed because of aging society. We are starting a basic examination of the subjective quality evaluation method for elderly people. In this paper, we derived elderly people's demand for speech quality and clarified the speech quality evaluation characteristics. First, we performed the questionnaire of speech quality for the elderly people, as well as young people. As a result, the sound level and clearness of sound are found to be important quality factors for elderly people. Next, the subjectivity evaluation experiment was conducted, and it was confirmed that the subjects' hearing characteristics were normal and the sound level was appropriate. Then, the overall quality and the clearness of the speech were evaluated.
