Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report studies QoE (Quality of Experience) estimation methods for QoE enhancement of audio-video IP transmission with the BE (Best Effort) service over IEEE802.16 networks. We assume a WirelessMAN-OFDM TDD network. First, we assess QoE of audio-video IP transmission by subjective experiment, in which we make stimuli from simulation results. We investigate the effect of capacity allocation among uplink data burst, downlink data burst, and contention slots for uplink bandwidth request on QoE. Next, we estimate QoE from application-level QoS parameters, MAC-level QoS parameters, and the number of contention slots. We then show the feasibility of QoE enhancement with the result of the QoE estimation.
