Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The observation of other peoples' actions is known to affect the observer's actions. Recent studies have investigated the processes of action selection for joint actions, and it has been suggested that the neural mechanisms related to the observation and understanding of coactors' actions accelerate or interfere with the appropriate action selections of actors. In this study, we focused on the pass-and-receive actions performed by two people as a cooperative joint action and discussed the brain mechanism related to the selection of appropriate actions while receiving objects. In particular, we discussed the processes of action selection when receivers have to select actions that are different from those of the passer and the viewpoint effects of the receiver (active view) and the passer (passive view). |
