| 抄録(和) | 我々が開発したUS式英和機械翻訳システムを用いて中学3年生用英語教科書の70文を翻訳させ、その翻訳経過を詳細に分析して次のことを発見した。2つの英語の文章(或いは句表現)が全く同一であっても、その前後の文脈に関係詞を含む節があるか無いかによって日本語への翻訳を微妙に訳し分ける必要があり、我々のUS式英和翻訳システムは日本語訳語に附加されている属性値を用いてそれを訳し分ける細かい注意を払っている. |
| 抄録(英) | Carefully examining the English-Japanese machine translation process of 70 sentences taken from a textbook for the third year grade junior high school students, we found the following facts. Even if two English sentences or expressions are exactly the same, they should be translated into Japanese slight differently according as they are modified by a relative clause or not. The machine translation system by US method which we have developed uses the attribute values attached to each translation word item in the dictionary to successfully translate these English sentences in question. |
