| Abstract(in English) | This paper reports the result of readability assignment to 4,669 sample texts in Balanced Corpus of Contemporary Written Japanese (the monitor version in 2008) using a readability measurement system based on the textbook corpus. The assigned readability grades are roughly normally distributed; the median is 9 among 13 grades, which corresponds to the third grade of junior high school. |
