Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper studies nonlinear dynamics of basic maximum power point tracker in current mode control. For convenience of the analysis, we introduce two simplifications: 1) solar panel input is modeled by a current-controlled voltage source with piecewise linear characteristics, 2) assuming that output voltage regulation is achieved in high frequency modulation, the load is replaced with a constant voltage source. In this case the circuit dynamics is described by simple piecewise linear equation and the 1D return map can be derived. The map describes switching phase and that makes precise analysis possible and enables us to analyze the dynamics precisely. Typical periodic/chaotic phenomena, related bifurcation phenomena and related power characteristics are demonstrated. Bifurcation of SDS
