Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have been developing an advanced FPU (Field Pick-up Unit) transmission system exploiting AVC/H.264 video coding, MIMO-OFDM transmission scheme, adaptive array antenna technique, and LDPC (Low-Density Parity-Check) error correction code. As for the MIMO transmission scheme, space-time trellis code (STTC) is being studied. This time, an outdoor transmission experiment was carried out in the 800-MHz to measure transmission performance of the 2x2 STTC-MIMO-OFDM system in urban area. As a result, the transmission performance well agreed with that of a simulation, and superior performance of the system was confirmed by the experiment.
