Abstract(in English) | This paper proposes a new linear precoding method for real-valued signals in multiuser MIMO downlink systems that improve the BER (Bit Error Rate) performance. The proposed method rotates the phase of the dominant interference in the signal constellation gained by application of an initial transmit weight. Moreover, we propose an initial transmit weight that suits the phase rotation operations. The fact that the dominant interference signal's power is allowed to be arbitrary enables the designated user to leak arbitrary interference power. Since constraints for forming the initial weight are eased, the transmit power can be reduced which improves BER performance at same transmit power. The proposed method is realized with only a moderate increase in calculation complexity compared to the conventional method. We confirm the effectiveness of the proposed linear precoding method by computer simulations. |
