| 抄録(和) | SMFは主に屋外での光通信に用いられるのに対して、MMFはLANなどの構内通信に多く用いられる。MMFではモード分散によって帯域や情報伝送容量が小さくなる。一方、構内通信需要を満たすためには1Km程度の距離が必要と言われており、ファイバの更改工事には多額の費用が必要とされる。解決法として、スポットサイズ変換器を用いてMMFの基本モードだけを励振させることで、10Gbpsでの長距離伝送が可能であるかを検証する。 |
| 抄録(英) | While Single-mode fiber are widely used in optical communications outside buildings, on the other hand MMF is used for in building networks. Transmission capacity and bandwidth are limited by the modal dispersion in legacy MMFs to 26m link length, or over 300m with newly developed OM3 is used. However, kilometers link length should be necessary to fill the backbone needs. Solution is that, excites the only fundamental mode the MMF by using single-mode waveguide, and the possibility consideration of the long-distance transmission by using the 10Gbps signal. |
