Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, high performance computing using GPU has recognized. GPU has good cost-performance ratio, and exhibit the capability for application with higher level of parallelism, despite its inexpensive price. A support of the integer and logical instructions on the last generation of GPU allow us to implement an application with the same operations. In this paper, we report the result of implementation of the passward crack against DES using GPU. As the result, we found that our implementation on Geforce GTX 285 achieved about 7.4 hours computational time and about 9 times higher performance of Intel Core i7-920 2.66GHz. With the result, we investigate a feasibility of passward crack against cipher algorithm with high-speed performance of GPU, with our implementaion.
