Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The barium-ferrite tape with 1500nm^3 particles was developed. The authors demonstrated thermal stability for such very fine particles. Using a giant magneto-resistive head and GPR4ML-AR channel model system, we evaluated bit error rate. The results indicated the feasibility of approximately of 15Gbits/in^2 recording density.
