Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For efficient business process management, some approaches for supporting analysis using execution logs of operation support systems have been studied. In order to analyze inefficiencies and their causes of a business based on its execution logs, performance indicators such as a lead time, an expense and an error frequency are often calculated with respect to each task, work order type, or department. Because business process instances, each of which shows how a work order was transacted and routed among tasks, can be revealed from the execution logs in these days, it is also needed to calculate these performance indicators with respect to each sub-process, which is a successive part of a business process instance, or its pattern. In this paper we propose a method to extract target sub-processes of analysis from business process instances and classify them into process patterns. This method is independent of businesses, target sub-processes and their patterns of analysis. Moreover, analysts can easily specify and change the target sub-processes and their patterns.
