Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Two-dimensional communication (2DC) provides signal and power transmission over the entire surface of a sheet-like medium, using microwave which travels in the sheet. Just putting devices on the sheet establishes wireless communication. The capability of power transmission is desired to be improved for usefulness. Moreover, the electromagnetic influence on any object put on the sheet has to be reduced for safety. In order to satisfy both of the requirements, frequency-spreading transmission may be effective. It reduces the risk of the power absorption of an object which resonates at a certain frequency. This paper reports a method to produce a coupler which can vary its frequency characteristics, for basic study of the frequency-spreading power transmission.
