Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, optical packet switching (OPS) technology is paid to attention. When OPS networks that have different number of multiplexed wavelengths are interconnected together, the lack of wavelength converters due to frequent wavelength conversions occurs in the border of networks where the number of multiplexed wavelengths is changed. In this paper, we propose proactive wavelength conversions for destination networks in order to reduce the lack of wavelength converters and to reduce packet loss probability. It is confirmed that proposed method enables to improve packet loss probability through simulation experiments.
