Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Network simulation has a trade-off between its complexity and its behavior accuracy. Detailed network models give accurate results, but require much computation resources. On the other hand, simplified network models do not need so much computations, but also reduce the accuracy of simulation results. Using network simulations to evaluate network protocols and applications, we do not need to simulate the whole of the targeted network at the same accuracy level. For example, in the case of evaluating congestions at a sink node on the sensor network, the sink node should be simulated at high accurate level. However, the nodes on the edges of the sensor network do not need such high acccurate simulations. In this paper, focusing on difference of required accuracy level on each region, we propose a simulation method to apply a detailed network model to the region required high accuracy and apply a simplified model to other regions in order to keep accuracy of simulation results and reduce simuation time.
