Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Single-mode optical fibers with 80μm cladding and 125μm cladding, which are suitable for optical interconnection systems utilizing 1100nm VCSELs are developed. Taking both flexible wiring and low-loss connector splicing into account, this fibers have low macro-bending loss with bending radius of less than 2mm and enlarged MFD, simultaneously. Furthermore, reliability of the developed fiber is confirmed by mechanical and anti-environmental test.
