Study of Digital Source for Satellites

Abstract(in English) For the increase of the ratio of payloads at the spacecraft, a small-size and lightweight BUS system (electrical power subsystem, thermal control subsystem, communication & data handling subsystem, attitude control subsystem, etc.) is demanded. Components of the electrical power subsystem (power control unit, Li-Ion battery, solar panel, etc.) are developed for the reduction in size and weight. Application of digital source for satellite will be not only effected to reduce size and weight, it is also expected to achieve a high functionality, for example FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation, Reconfiguration). In this paper we describe the result of experimental production tests for the digitalized power control unit which has functions of peak-power-tracking and BUS voltage control.
