Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A magneto-optical spatial light modulator (MOSLM) is a real-time programmable device for modulating the amplitude and/or phase of two-dimensional optical signals at a high speed. Recently, we developed voltage driving for the MOSLM with one-dimensional reflection type magneto-photonic crystal (MPC) structure. The MOSLM is driven by a stress from PZT film. For the high piezoelectric effect, the PZT film deposited on reflection layer is done by thermal treatment. Therefore, for the high optical efficiency, the reflection layer in the reflection type MPC should have high thermal resistance. In this study, we investigated the optical property of Ag and dielectric mirror depending on the thermal annealing. The dielectric mirror in the MOSLM should high optical efficiency after annealing.
