Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Phased Array Antennas have attracted attention for use as hopping spot beam antennas that might be used as electronically controllable onboard satellite antennas. In fact, a Ka band APAA is installed on the KIZUNA (WINDS) developed by JAXA and NICT. WINDS was developed to construct a high-speed satellite communication system and demonstrate the advanced technology. This paper describes the WINDS APAA configuration, in addition to development results and on-board evaluation results of the APAA flight model.
