Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In some applications, the distance measurement using image processing techniques is often required. One typical approach is using the stereo vision to measure distance. In this paper, we study a real-time high precision distance measurement technique using the stereo vision. In the stereo vision, it is necessary to find corresponding points between two images obtained two cameras (or the stereo camera). If correct corresponding points are obtained, measuring with high precision distance is possible. In this paper, we use the phase-only correlation to find corresponding points with sub-pixel precision. However, the phase-only correlation method takes a great deal of time. Thus, we use the cross-correlation to obtain corresponding points within a pixel accuracy to reduce the calculation amount.
