Abstract(in English) | This paper presents a design method of low noise Gunn diode second harmonic oscillator. The oscillator consists of slot line resonators, Gunn diodes, and strip lines. A design of the oscillator is based on the active resonator. Gunn diodes are loaded on the slot line resonator and short-circuit boundary conditions are formed on both ends of the resonator. The second harmonic signal is directly generated on the resonator. Using the strip line output circuit, desired second harmonic signal is selectively obtained. As an additional discontinues boundary condition on the resonator is formed, the phase noise and the suppression of undesired harmonics are effectively improved. |
