Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper shows new schemes of video retrieval and their visualization interfaces which aim at successful information retrieval from tremendous number of multimedia contents. In traditional retrieval schemes, it becomes difficult to find desired multimedia contents if users do not have specific queries. On the other hand, the proposed schemes enable the video scene retrieval by utilizing the visualization interface that leads users to desired contents. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed schemes is shown from the results retrieved by our interface. Furthermore, the necessity of the visualization interfaces is discussed in the point of view that multimedia contents have several ambiguities.
