Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In 3-D Shape model using Spherical harmonics (SPHARM), alignment step is done by aligning the First-Order-Ellipsoid (FOE) between objects. If the 3-D shape is complex such as liver shape, the traditional method cannot find accurate transform. We propose a novel and automatic two-step registration method for liver applications in both object and parameter spaces. We first use Coherent Point Drift (CPD), to align the object, and the registered object is decomposed with SPHARM. Finally, we find the corresponding point between objects by minimizing the error function in the parameter space. Experimental results show that our surface alignment method is more accurate and flexible than the traditional approach for liver applications.
