Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, various types of digital contents such as document, image, and music, etc. have been distributed over Internet with the development of digital technology. On the other side, serious copyright problem has been increased. Digital watermarking technology is one of the solution to the problem. However it is difficult to implement the method practically because there exist no efficient technique for searching for an illegal copy and identifying a malicious user. We focus on the fact that a range for a private use of contents overlaps with a range for sharing some sort of private information. The proposed method lead an user to limit copying contents within a predefined range by embedding the private information. Some questionnaires on consciousness of private information was conducted in order to decide system parameters of the proposed method.
