Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a process model for skill acquisition for the usage of information devices. This is the first step in developing a new method for assisting skill acquisition of novice users. We held interviews to find out how users use information devices, constructed concepts based on protocol data, and drew a diagram which explains the relation between the concepts. The diagram allows to explain the mechanism of the skill stagnation and acquisition. We also discussed the method for assisting skill acquisition of novices.
