Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Intuitive I/O interface of PCs and PDAs, such as pen display and touch panel, has come into wide use recently. However, it is necessary to analyze and clarify human essential interaction via such interface. In this study, we developed an eye-tracking pen display based on the stereo bright pupil technique for the analysis by synthesis of the timing control of human interaction via pen display. First, the "bright pupil camera" was developed by examining the arrangement of cameras and LEDs. Next, the gaze estimation method was proposed for the bright pupil camera, which enables one point calibration. Then, the prototype of the eye-tracking pen display was developed. The accuracy of the system was about 0.9 degrees in average, which is enough for human interaction analysis.
