Generation of body expression by spatial-temporal operation of own shadow

Abstract(in English) In this research, our purpose is clarifying two things. One is the relationship between body action and somesthesia. The other is shadow attribute for working on this relationship. So, we performed some experiments on deforming body shadow depending on body action. First, we examined what attribute of the shadow enabled to work on the relationship between body action and somesthesia. As a result, it is suggested that it is important that shadow is displayed from one's feet. Next, we developed the shadow system which make possible to dynamically change the delay time between body action and motion of the shadow depending on body action. Consequently, it is found that this system enabled the participants to voluntarily generate continuous body action, and body action and somesthesia of them changed by this system.
