抄録(和)	本稿では,送信履歴に基づいてContention Windowを調整するアルゴリズムであるTHAW(Transmission-History-based distributed Adaptive contention Window adjustment algorithm)を提案する.THAWでは,IEEE 802.11 DCF(Distributed Coordination Function)で利用されているBEB(Binary Exponential Backoff)のContention Windowの初期値(CW_)を送信履歴と自動伝送レート制御アルゴリズムであるARF(Automatic Rate Fallback)のタイマー制御に基づいて適応的かつ分散的に調整することにより,輻輳状態においてCW_を高い値に維持させることで,チャネルスループットを向上させ,遅延を削減させる.計算機シミュレーションにより,ARFのタイマー値を変更しても,従来方式と比べて,THAWはチャネルスループットの向上と遅延の削減が達成できることを示す.
抄録(英)	This paper proposes a distributed adaptive contention window adjustment algorithm based on the transmission history for wireless LANs called the transmission-history-based distributed adaptive contention window adjustment algorithm (THAW). The objective is to improve the channel throughput and reduce the transmission delay. The feature of THAW is that it adaptively adjusts the initial contention window (CW_) size in the binary exponential backoff (BEB) algorithm used in the IEEE 802.11 standard according to the transmission history and the automatic rate fallback (ARF) algorithm. This effect is to keep CW_ at a high value in a congested state. Simulation results show that the THAW algorithm outperforms the conventional algorithms in terms of the channel throughput and delay, even if the timer in the ARF is changed.
