Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The report considers how to install communication services (applications) in NWGN while avoiding contention when acquiring communication resources (wavelengths). Plural services are installed using an overlay structure built on the NWGN core. The proposal is to divide communication services into two categories, (1) Access network that connects fixed/mobile terminals and/or LANs, and (2) Service management site that installs servers and/or like computers, and connect all the access networks to the NWGN common packet network and the service management sites to the same packet network, where the NWGN core works as a shared core network.
