A Clustering Scheme for Suppress Battery Power Consumption in Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract(in English) In sensor networks constructed by battery driven terminals, it is difficult to supply electric power to the terminal. Because of this, power consumption reduction is required. To cope with this problem, clustering techniques have been proposed. EACLE uses a clustering technique, where two kinds of output wave powers and two kinds of control packets are used for cluster and route constructions. These overheads would consume battery power of terminals and the life time of a sensor network would be shortened. This paper proposes a clustering method that reduces these overheads by integrating output wave powers and control packets into single ones. We also evaluate our method by simulation experiments and show the effectiveness of our method.
