Abstract(in English) In 2.4GHz inter-building wireless networks, available throughput temporally changes, which could yield deterioration of quality of video streaming. Authors proposed a source bit rate control scheme using ICMP echo success rate and RTTs. In this paper, the performance evaluation of the proposed scheme and fixed source bit rate scheme is made for the inter-building wireless system. The scheme is installed between Shinjuku building of Kogakuin University and No. 55 building in Okubo campus of Waseda University. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme achieves higher than fixed source bit rate of one layer with lower packet loss rate. To compensate the remaining packet loss of the proposed scheme, FEC is applied. Subjective quality for received video streaming of the proposed scheme and the fixed source bit rate is evaluated. The results show that the proposed scheme with FEC is 0.3 higher than fixed source bit rate of one layer and 1.2 higher than fixed source bit rate of two layers.
