A BER floor suppression scheme of OFDM system with Overlap-FDE

Abstract(in English) An overlap-FDE has a capability of eliminating a guard interval (GI) in OFDM transmission. However it is possible in multipath propagation to generate a floor in BER performance irrespective of high E_b/N_0 condition. The paper proposes three types of schemes for suppressing the BER floor, which are ones changing with/without GI, utilizing carrier holes and applying frequency diversity. The performance is evaluated by means of computer simulation, comparing with conventional OFDM transmission with GI.
