Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To make an increase for the low rate braille literacy of the people with acquired vision loss, we have developed a self-learning program for Braille (e-learning system for Braille). It consists of (1) the questions displayed by random selection, (2) four choices for answer, (3) automatic scoring. We determined the most readable mark "+" for each dot of the six for one Braille character among the followings: "●", "■", "▲", "★", "+". Using "+" mark, we made 167 braille characters which are frequently used in everyday life. As a result of evaluation of the system, it showed effectiveness of learning for the acquired visually impaired.
