Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, Studies of white-space cognitive radio systems are being actively pursued in response to the frequency depletion problem. At present, a signal of lumped frequency is placed in one of the white-space frequencies, such as TV bands. In the future when cognitive radio techniques are mature, many frequency bands with discrete center frequencies may be used simultaneously in order to transmit extremely broadband data. However, there are many problems to realize the system. At the prospect, we have proposed a broadband short-range white-space cognitive system COGSIP (COGnitive System of Intelligent Processing) to substantiate the problems and investigate them. In this manuscript, we introduce the outline of COGSIP and related techniques, especially, high-sensitivity energy detection, narrow-band signal detection, easily-detectable initial information channel and transmission signal shaping with low PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio).
