Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A system concept of a radio access communication system is proposed. The radio system is designed for an ISM band where various radio systems are operating. It is a kind of dynamic spectrum access system which integrates pieces of fragmented vacant spectrum in the band into a radio channel. The proposed system introduces a new type MAC (medium access control) protocol that can co-exist with conventional CSMA/CA systems and uses a control channel which is not common among the systems in ISM bands. Using the control channel, it can assign spectrum resource for data channel dynamically and efficiently to each connection to improve MAC efficiency or throughput. The system utilizes the vacant spectrum thoroughly so that it copes with increasing demand of spectrum use expected in ISM bands toward the ubiquitous network world in the near future.
