Abstract(in English) We propose a new hash function family AURORA supporting output lengths of 224, 256, 384, and 512 bits. The AURORA family contains of six algorithms. Each algorithm employs security enhanced Merkle-Damgard or Double-Mix Merkle-Damgard transform to satisfy the required output length and strength. In each compression function, a structure which is enhanced by the diffusion switching mechanism is used to achieve high security with minimum operations. AURORA-256 achieves about 15.4cycles/byte, 1.25Gbps in software on 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and about 1.10Gpbs with less than 9Kgates in hardware using a 0.13μm CMOS ASIC library.
