Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, the number of SIP-based communication by Service Providers has been increasing. SIP allows Service Providers to gather the information for traffic control and charging from SIP. So, the stability of SIP servers is critical for Service Providers. Therefore, more sophisticated operational techniques for various network faults related to SIP servers are required to maintain this stability of SIP servers. Generally, the SIP service failures involve the loss of SIP messages. If we can specify the segments where SIP messages are lost in the relay route of the SIP messages, we can take actions quickly for these events. In this paper, we propose a method obtaining the information from the MIB implemented in SIP server and specifying the segments where SIP messages are lost. Through the mathematical model and the simulation experiments, we show that the proposed method can detect the loss of SIP messages with sufficiently small rate of overlook and specify the segment of the loss.
