| Abstract(in English) | The authors are developing the communication aid tool; VUTE (Visualized Universal Talking Environment) which which operates on portable information devices. VUTE is aiming at foreign people or hearing/speaking impaired people that have disability with speaking Japanese. It can display motion pictograms which enable users to improve comprehension. Furthermore, it is very unique because expression manner of sign language is introduced in the design of motion pictograms. In this paper, strategy of designing motion pictograms based on the expression manner of sign language and a demo system which is under development are reported. |
