Effects of Cameras and Monitors on Caregivers' Work Stress in the Group Home (2nd report)

Abstract(in English) We conducted an action research about effects of cameras and monitors in a group home, which are important equipments for mimamori-care supporting. Despite this system leads to help caregivers and improve the quality of life for elderly people with dementia, there did not pay attention the problem. We studied now their behaviors have changed by introducing the system into the home through video recording and a series of interviews. We found that the system enables caregivers to optimize their responses to the persons with dementia depending on their degree of mobility.
