Factor Analysis of Tolerable Waiting Time for Content Download by Portable Devices

Abstract(in English) Recently, we can download contents anywhere by portable telecommunication devices. The portable devices are small, and are often used during moving. Therefore, the user's utility in image quality, download waiting time, etc. will depend on the content genre such as news, sports, entertainment, etc. This paper analyzes the factors which affect the tolerable download waiting time by subjective evaluation and questionnaire survey. It is shown that the main factor which affects the tolerable download waiting time is different among content genres.
