Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, we can use a high-speed network as network technologies are developed rapidly. So e-Science environment will be built on a global scale. In order to share and transfer volume data in e-Science environment, high-speed transport protocols utilizing bandwidth efficiently are studied. However, when many high-speed transport protocols coexist on a bottle-neck link, protocols often cannot estimate congestion states, so that an extraordinary traffic stream occupies bandwidth, and transfer speed of other traffic streams goes down. So we propose a buffer control method mitigating effects of contention between high-speed transport protocols. It estimates inflow rates and controls outflow rates at a router, and it also drops packets with a certain probability before buffer becomes full. We evaluate our proposed method using simulation. As a result, we show that our proposed method works functionally.
