Abstract(in English) In this paper, we present the failure detection scheme in underlay network by measuring the difference in tunnel traffic of overlay networks that's be created and co-exist on top of a shared underlay network. For overlay network which contains its own logical network topology and routing information will face the problem when the failure happens in underlay network. In this paper, we present failure detection scheme in underlay network for overlay network that can provide the failure information, even the failure happened in underlay network that caused underlay network topology changed and overlay network's routing information cannot detect that failure, by measuring the tunnel traffic between overlay network nodes, and observe the changing of tunnel traffic's utilizing bandwidth, delay and packet loss rate. Our proposed underlay failure detection algorithm can detect the difference in tunnel traffic's utilizing bandwidth, delay and packet loss rate which can estimate the failure that accrued in underlay network within 30 seconds.
