Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Polyaniline (PANi) is well known to show stable electrochemical reaction accompanied by change in absorption spectra as well as electronic conductivity. The general limitation of redox activity of redox activity in acidic media, however, prohibit it into practical use in wide application field. Recently, we found that PANi cast in dichloroacetic acid as solvent with dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid (DBS) as dopant represents redox activity in neutral media such as 1M NaCl solution. In this study reports the redox activity of PANi in neutral media by means of UV/Vis spectra as well as quartz cryastal microbalance of thin PANi film during redox reaction.
