Abstract(in English) | This report presents the experimental investigation of acoustic streaming generated by exciting an interdigital transducer on the Y-cut Z-propagation LiNbO_3 substrate in two different modes, surface acoustic wave (SAW) and bulk acoustic wave (BAW). Fluid mixing is efficiently improved by changing the wave mode from SAW to BAW or vice versa. Selection of the excitation mode depends on liquid properties. This method makes it possible to change flow field temporally and spatially, then not only mixing efficiency but also miniaturization of the device can be achieved. |
