Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-carrier (MC) transmission is considered to be effective in next generation mobile communication system because of the high data rate and the robustness against frequency-selective fading. However, MC transmission have high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) problem. Since single-carrier (SC) is low PAPR transmission, the SC is effective for coverage securing. Therefore, hybrid method that uses SC or MC properly according to situation has been proposed. In this paper, we propose the concept and realization method of SC/MC hybrid system. Through a computer simulation, we investigated effects of carrier frequency offset, which causes inter-carrier interference. Although the SC is affected greatly by inter-carrier interference, it is possible to improve the effect of inter-carrier interference.
