Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A concept of spectrum sharing between primary and secondary systems has attracted attention as a solution for a shortage of frequency resource by using cognitive radio technologies. It is preferred that the secondary systems maximize their capacity without affecting the primary system. In this paper, we propose a novel criterion of protecting the primary system under a spectrum sharing environment. The criterion is based on the capacity conservation ratio of the primary user, which is the ratio of the primary user capacity before spectrum sharing and that after sharing. In order to keep the performance of the primary user, we also propose a transmit power control using the location information of the primary user for avoiding the interference to the primary system. By computer simulations, it is found that the capacity of the secondary system can be increased by the proposed transmit power control scheme with the primary user capacity kept.
