Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an enhanced version of our scheduling method that prevents interference between wireless LAN (WLAN) and WiMAX signals on dual-use terminals. Such terminals are expected to expand the WLAN communication area since they can relay WLAN signals to the WiMAX network, which has much wider reach, and thus to the IP network. However, due to the tight space constraints of mobile terminals, the WLAN and WiMAX devices will be installed close together. Moreover, the assigned frequency bands of WLAN (2.4GHz) and WiMAX (2.5GHz) are also close. This situation can be expected to result in mutual system interference due to the leakage power in the outer frequency band. Our original paper gave a theoretical assessment of mutual system interference and proposed a scheduling-based method for interference avoidance. This paper verifies the existence of mutual system interference by a series of simple bench tests.
