Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is difficult to decide whether the mobile user is in the stationary state or in the walking state using GPS-based location data in the urban areas because the location data includes wide range of errors effected by multipath in such areas. For reducing the error effect and easing the way to find the stationary state we developed the new method called "Segment Velocity" before. In this paper we describe the characteristics of segment velocity and show the way to classify the stationary state and walking state under the error range is about 10 to 20m.
